The security of Online Banking
Latvijas Krājbanka guarantees the security and stability of Online Banking, making use of several levels of protection for that purpose:
-
Unauthorised use of Online Banking in read-only mode is prevented through authorization tools:
-
the customer number in remote banking systems,
-
the Code card number or the authorization code from Code calculator,
-
the password (which can be changed in the Online Banking system);
-
In transaction mode, the Code card number and the code from the Code card must be used to make transfers to Latvijas Krājbanka and to make deposits;
-
If you have chosen to use the Code calculator, you should use the code from the Code calculator instead of the Code card number and the code from the Code card in the transaction mode;
-
You can send several transfers to Latvijas Krājbanka during one session and with one code, but if you make a deposit or replenishment of deposit, you can use the code for only one transaction;
-
There are 35 codes on a card, and you can use more than one card simultaneously;
-
If necessary, you can use more than one Code calculator simultaneously;
-
Data exchange in the Online Banking system is coded at a high level (128-bit SSL), and a digital certificate prevents the risk of intrusion during data transmission.
More detailed information about the Code card, the Code calculator, and their use in Online Banking transactions can be found at any Latvijas Krājbanka Client Service Center or using the information line at 67092020.
