MasterCard SecureCode is a new service, which gives a private code in order to provide for stronger protection against unauthorized use of your card, when buying anything online. 
Having applied for the service, you will get an additional password or code for online purchases. You will always be asked for the password or code, when purchasing online from sellers who use this increased safety solution. If you do not shop online and think that this service would not be useful to you -consider that by applying for Safe Purchase online, you will protect your card against fraud in cases when the card might be lost or stolen.
